Massage Therapy

Why Sports Massage?

Sports massage uses a variety of similar techniques as regular massage, but takes into consideration each client’s activity and where he or she is in their training or recovery. For example, someone with an event or workout later that day will not benefit from deep tissue work without jeopardizing their performance. However, someone with chronic tension and restricted range of motion might require modalities such as cross-fiber friction and myofascial release in order to restore full functionality. We will work with you to accommodate the proper approach to each session.

Massage

Implementing massage therapy as a way of active recovery will allow your muscles to relax and your mind to reset so you could continue living an active life. Any continual stress you experience, whether physical or mental could lead to chronic injury or disease if left untreated. Each massage treatment is customized to the client’s specific needs, activity, and/or injury.

Stretching

Maintaining flexibility is crucial when it comes to injury prevention. Sticking to a stretching regimen helps increase range of motion in the joints and enables the muscles to work more effectively, resulting in improved physical performance. There are various forms of assisted stretching techniques that your therapist will guide you through as part of your massage if needed.

Compression Therapy

Dynamic compression speeds up recovery by increasing blood flow to the lower extremities, resulting in quicker recovery times between workouts. Hang out after your session and see for yourself what the team from NormaTec has created.
